Semi-Automatic Sticker Labeling Machine
Compact, benchtop semi-automatic sticker labeling system engineered for precision wrap-around and single-side label application on small-to-medium batches, laboratory formulations, and pilot production lines.
Description & Operating Principle
HMEC Semi-Automatic Sticker Labeling Machines are compact, operator-assisted benchtop solutions designed to deliver industrial-grade labeling accuracy without requiring complex conveyor installations. Ideal for pharmaceutical R&D laboratories, hospital dispensaries, craft beverage producers, and small-batch cosmetics packagers, this machine eliminates the misalignment and bubble issues inherent in manual hand labeling.
The operator places the container into the adjustable dual-roller cradle and depresses a foot pedal or activates an optical proximity trigger. The motorized cradle rotates the bottle while a stepper/servo-driven dispensing head releases the self-adhesive sticker over a peel plate. A synchronized pressure roller automatically descends to wrap and wipe the label smoothly around the bottle circumference. Once complete, the container is removed by hand, achieving clean, bubble-free labeling at rates of 15 to 30 bottles per minute.
Target Products & Applications

๐ฏ Specialty Foods & Breweries
Honey jars, hot sauce bottles, gourmet olive oil bottles, craft beer samples, and spice containers.
๐ฅ Hospital & Compounding Pharmacy
Personalized prescription packaging, re-packaging bottles, and compounding pharmacy liquid dispensers.
Pros & Cons Comparison
โ Advantages (Pros)
- Minimal Footprint & Low Cost: Compact table-top unit easily placed on any workbench without needing line modifications.
- Zero Setup Time: Instant format adjustment for bottle diameters from 15 mm to 120 mm without change parts.
- High Registration Consistency: Delivers repeatable ยฑ0.5 mm placement accuracy compared to erratic manual application.
- User-Friendly Operation: Ergonomic foot-switch trigger or automatic cradle sensor for effortless, fatigue-free operation.
- Optional Hot Foil / TIJ Coder: Can be fitted with an integrated batch code printer for simultaneous coding and labeling.
โ ๏ธ Considerations & Limitations (Cons)
- Operator Dependent Throughput: Production speed is limited by manual container loading/unloading (typically 15-30 BPM).
- Not for Mass Inline Production: Cannot be tied into continuous automated high-speed conveyor lines.
- Primarily for Round Containers: Flat or oval containers require specialized alignment adapters.

The machine features a virtually tool-less adjustment design:
- Adjustable cradle roller spacing via quick-slide thumbscrews
- Adjustable label guide rings for different label roll widths
- Peel plate height and angle adjustment screws
- Optional small-diameter vial adapter cradle for ร 10-15 mm tubes
Can this benchtop machine apply both front and back labels on the same bottle?
Yes, if the front and back labels are alternating on the same roll, the controller can be set in dual-label mode to apply the front label, rotate the bottle by a set angle, and apply the back label in a single depression of the foot switch.
Does it require compressed air to operate?
Standard manual/foot-pedal models operate purely on electricity (single phase 220V/110V). Compressed air is only required if you choose the optional pneumatic top-pressing cylinder or pneumatic hot foil ribbon batch coder.
